MSDC Called on Congress to Lessen Impact of ICD-10

In response to requests from the provider community, including the American Medical Association and Medical Society of DC, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released physician guidance to allow for flexibility in the claims auditing and quality reporting process as the medical community gains experience using the new ICD- 10 code set. See the joint announcement by CMS and AMA.
