   The Choosing Wisely series is developed by national medical specialty organizations, asking their members to “choose wisely” among the tests and procedures commonly used in their fields. This program helps patients choose care that is: supported by evidence, not duplicative of other tests or procedures already received, free from harm and truly necessary.
